Our beekeeping journey began in 2006 in Romania, where we built our first apiary and grew to around 250 hives.
After moving to England, we started again in 2019 with just two colonies. It was a new beginning, but the same passion.
Today, Barbu’s Apiary continues to grow, rooted in the same values of care, hard work and respect for nature.
Meet Claudiu
Claudiu looks after the bees and colonies. He carries out regular hive inspections, checking for queens, eggs and brood, and makes sure the bees are healthy and thriving.
His care and attention help keep our colonies strong throughout the seasons.
Healthy bees make a brighter tomorrow.
Meet Mariana
Mariana prepares the equipment for harvest, carefully removes the cappings and oversees extraction.
She tests the honey for moisture, filters it and bottles it with care, labelling each jar by hand.
Her attention to detail helps turn our harvest into the final product ready to enjoy.
From our hives to your home, with care.
